Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Relief Tracker ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to handling your information in a simple and transparent way. This Privacy Policy explains how the Relief Tracker mobile application (the "App") handles information when you use it.

Relief Tracker is designed as an on-device, personal practice tool. We aim to minimize the data we collect and keep what you do in the App under your control.

2. Information the App Handles

The App is built with a local-first approach. Information related to your use of Relief Tracker is stored on your device and is not automatically sent to our servers.

Depending on how you use the App, it may store the following on your device:

  • Session information: basic details about sessions you complete, such as start/end time, duration, and any optional check-in information you choose to enter (for example, how you felt or how the session went).
  • Anchors: information about anchors you select or configure inside the App (for example, which anchors are available and how they are tagged within Relief Tracker).
  • App preferences: settings such as whether you have seen onboarding, any app appearance preferences, and similar configuration choices.

Information We Do Not Collect by Default

We do not require you to create an account to use the App. We do not automatically collect or store your personal session details on our own servers. We do not collect, store, or share personal data on our servers.

We do not include social features, public feeds, or user-to-user sharing inside the App.

3. How Information Is Used

Information stored by the App on your device is used to provide the core functionality of Relief Tracker. This includes:

  • Allowing you to start and finish sessions
  • Showing recent sessions and basic history within the App
  • Displaying simple stats or summaries of your practice
  • Remembering your anchors and preferences so you do not have to reconfigure them each time

We do not use your personal session details for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell your information.

4. On-Device Storage

Session information, check-ins, anchors, and related preferences are stored locally on your device. If you delete the App from your device, the locally stored data associated with the App will generally be removed as part of that process, subject to any backup settings on your device (for example, device backups managed by your operating system).

You may also be able to remove or edit specific sessions or data within the App, depending on the options provided in the interface.

5. Third-Party Services

The App is distributed through third-party app stores. These providers may collect certain device, diagnostic, and usage information according to their own privacy policies. We do not control, access, or take responsibility for their independent data practices.

If you make an in-app purchase, payment and billing information is processed securely by the app store provider. We do not receive or store your full payment details.

The App does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting by default. If we add or integrate any third-party services (for example, crash reporting or analytics) in future updates, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe what is used and for what purpose.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Because Relief Tracker is designed to store data locally, we do not routinely transmit your personal session details to our servers for processing.

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect our rights or the rights of others. In such circumstances, we will limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to help protect information processed by the App. On your side, the security of your data also depends on your device and any protections you enable (such as device passcodes, biometrics, or an optional app lock if available).

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While we strive to protect the App and your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Controls

Because data is stored on your device, you have a high degree of control over it. In particular, you may:

  • Choose which sessions to create or check in after
  • Edit or delete entries inside the App where the interface allows it
  • Delete the App from your device to remove locally stored data
  • Use any device-level privacy settings (such as backups or encryption) provided by your platform

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not designed for or targeted at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can address the situation.

10. International Users

Relief Tracker may be used in different countries. However, because the App is primarily designed to store data on your device, your main privacy protections will be determined by the laws and settings applicable to your device and app store provider.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. In some cases, we may also provide an in-app notice for significant changes. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
